Protect Our Homes Certified by the Secretary of State's Office for the November 4 Ballot

The Protect Our Homes Coalition is happy to announce that the Protect Our Homes initiative has qualified for the November ballot! Protect Our Homes is now officially Proposition 100!

As you know, this important measure will shield your home or property from a real estate transfer tax. This initiative gives you, the voter, the unique opportunity to vote YES to say NO to double taxation through a real estate transfer tax on the November 4, 2008, ballot.

We want to take a moment to thank our wonderful members and volunteers who have helped us reach this important phase in the campaign by collecting petition signatures and by educating their families, neighbors and coworkers about this crucial ballot measure. We could not have done it without your support and involvement!

However, we need your help now more than ever. In the coming weeks and months we will need your continued support to ensure that we pass Proposition 100 in November. We need your help spreading the word that:

  • A YES Vote will prohibit your state, county and city from double taxing your home through a real estate transfer tax.
  • A NO Vote will leave you without protection from real estate transfer taxes, meaning your state, county and city could pass real estate transfer taxes on your home at any time, damaging your hard earned equity.

The Protect Our Homes campaign is working hard to pass Proposition 100 to protect your home's equity from being taken away in the form of extra taxes. In addition to your "YES" vote on Proposition 100, The Protect Our Homes Initiative, you can help the campaign by spreading the word about the initiative and sharing its informative website (www.protectourhomes.com).

A free and easy way to educate and spread the word is to simply add a "Vote YES on 100" logo to your email signature and/or website. For a copy of the logo please email Faith at faith@protectourhomes.com. Once added to your email or website, please link the graphic to http://www.protectourhomes.com.

We are also getting out the importance of voting "YES" with our Speaker's Bureau. We have REALTORS® throughout the state speaking to organizations from Rotary Clubs to conservation organizations; please visit the website to request a speaker and materials for your next meeting or event.

For any questions or assistance please contact Faith at Protect Our Homes at faith@protectourhomes.com or at 602-443-4786 or 866-591-1103.

We are grateful for your support. Join us in voting YES on Proposition 100 in November!!!

Sincerely,
